The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Performer for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season

Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t take place until the third season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.

The streaming service revealed this week that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bon Clay. Bon Clay can use their power to change into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that role reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the source material and cartoon version.

This performer will work alongside a number of new cast members set to bring Baroque Works to the screen, including chief Mr. 0, portrayed by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the ensemble as the ruler of Alabasta.

Although this character is a important part of Baroque Works, the character will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the placement of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.

Their mix of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the role. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

Netflix's live-action One Piece show is set to return for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
