A Marquee Acquisition for the WSL Side The forward, with half a year left on her deal, has been a consistent goalscorer for her club and the national team. She has netted over 100 goals for Bayern and scored 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. Her arrival is viewed as a major coup for the Women’s Super League side. Her exit from Bayern was expected after she was seen fighting back tears while applauding the German club’s supporters following a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently. Reports in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was set to lose one of its leading forwards. According to multiple sources, the formalities for the move have now been completed. Reliable Goalscoring to Strengthen the Attack The experienced striker's signing should represent a major boost to United’s forward line. Schüller has been highly reliable in front of goal in the Bundesliga. For seven consecutive seasons, including the most recent campaign, she reached at least a double-figures tally of league goals. She claimed the Golden Boot in 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals. Building Momentum at Old Trafford The acquisition of the German international comes at a time when the club seem to be gathering momentum.
